Terry Grundy

Biography

Terry has been at the cutting edge of healthcare consumer satisfaction and quality improvement for over fifteen years and heads up Studer Group's training division in Australia and New Zealand. He coaches clients on quality improvement, change management and healthcare customer service. Terry was also a founding partner and is the current Australian Managing Director of Press Ganey Associates, the world's leading healthcare satisfaction measurement company with over 10,500 clients in 22 countries, distributing over 52 million surveys per year. This experience provides Terry with a unique insight into the perceptions of healthcare from all stakeholders, guiding the development of initiatives that have a real impact.

Previous roles have included Directorship of a specialist home oncology agency and the management of international patient transfers from Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the Pacific Rim. Terry's philosophy is driven by a desire to advance patient-centred care by re-engaging the passion in healthcare leaders to make a difference.


Laurie Kelly

Biography

Enthusiasm – Laurie Kelly from ‘Mindworks’ is famous for it. 

Laurie is the Director of Mindworks, a company specialising in helping people unlock their creativity; to use possibility thinking in their everyday lives, and to work together more effectively. 

Based on extensive research, Mindworks programs have been opening up the mysteries of the mind for over 20 years and are unique in Australia.

Laurie had a number of jobs in his early career, including secondary school teaching, University lecturing and working with homeless youth.

He is one of the most sought-after presenters in Australia, with a unique presentation style and an ability to communicate on a level that everyone can appreciate.

Laurie’s core expertise is in understanding the intricacies of the mind and translating this into practical tools for work and life.  He offers a number of perennially popular programs, including ‘Maximise Your Training Impact’, ‘Flexing the Mental Muscle’, ‘Dealing with Information Overload’, ‘Stress Hardiness’ and ‘Getting the Most out of your Mind’.


Dr Stuart Philip

Biography

Dr Stuart Philip is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Mater Public and Private Hospitals in Brisbane. Originally from New Zealand, he has now been in Queensland for 6 years and has become a dedicated Reds Rugby supporter! Stuart's wife, Emma, is a local General Practitioner and they have two young children. His interests include travel, golf and skiing (when time allows!)


Mayor Paul Pisasale

Biography

Councillor Paul Pisasale was elected to Council in March 1991, elected Deputy Mayor in April 2000, Mayor in March 2004 and re-elected as Mayor of the City of Ipswich in March 2008.

Paul's dedication to and pride for the City of Ipswich, as well as his drive and enthusiasm, are very evident to all that come in contact with him. He is passionate about working at a regional level, breaking down barriers and ensuring that people are the number one priority for local government. He is also strongly determined to work together in partnership with the community, private enterprise and all levels of government to meet the challenges ahead as the City of Ipswich continues to prosper and grow.

Paul has an active interest in business and youth initiatives, community organisations and employment enterprises and is Patron of over 40 organisations. He strongly believes that care for the community is vital to a growing community.
